Behind the Jar: Meet Jordan Lang

Most people who meet me at a Jose Madrid Salsa event assume I'm "the website guy"—and they're right. But that's only part of the story.

My name is Jordan Lang, and I'm a lifelong problem solver with a passion for building things that make a difference. Whether it's designing a website, developing software, creating graphics, solving technical challenges, or helping a small business grow, I've always been drawn to finding better ways to accomplish a goal.

Technology has been a passion of mine for as long as I can remember. Over the years, I've developed experience in web design and development, branding, graphic design, digital marketing, networking, Linux servers, business automation, and software development. I enjoy taking complex ideas and transforming them into something simple, useful, and professional. Every project presents a new challenge, and that's what keeps me excited about what I do.

Outside of technology, I enjoy meeting new people, traveling throughout the Midwest, attending community festivals, and supporting local businesses. Some of the best conversations I've ever had have happened across a folding table at a festival booth while someone sampled salsa for the first time. Those moments remind me that business isn't just about selling a product—it's about building relationships.

My journey with Jose Madrid Salsa began through my web development business, JLang Development. What started as a website project quickly evolved into something much bigger. As we worked together to modernize the company's online presence, we discovered a shared vision of growing the Jose Madrid Salsa brand while staying true to its family roots.

Today, I wear quite a few hats.

I'm responsible for designing and maintaining the Jose Madrid Salsa website, improving search engine visibility, managing online content, developing new digital tools, creating promotional graphics, producing photography and videos, writing blog articles, assisting with social media marketing, and helping shape the company's overall digital strategy. Behind the scenes, I'm constantly working on new ideas that make it easier for customers to connect with us—whether that's through online ordering, event information, recipes, or exciting features still in development.

Of course, my work isn't limited to a computer screen.

If you've visited one of our festivals or events, there's a good chance we've already met. I'm usually the person handing out free samples, answering questions, helping customers choose the perfect flavor, sharing stories about our products, or simply enjoying great conversations with people from all walks of life. Those face-to-face interactions are some of my favorite parts of being involved with Jose Madrid Salsa.

One thing I've learned is that success is never built by one person alone. Every event, every website update, every customer interaction, and every new idea comes from a team of people who genuinely care about delivering the best possible experience. I'm grateful to be part of that team.

Looking ahead, I'm excited about what's next. We're continually improving our online experience, expanding our presence at festivals and community events, introducing new ways to connect with our customers, and finding opportunities to help even more people discover Jose Madrid Salsa for the very first time.

When I'm not working, you'll usually find me learning something new. I'm constantly exploring emerging technologies, experimenting with creative projects, studying business strategies, and looking for ways to improve both personally and professionally. I believe there's always something new to learn, and every experience has the potential to make us better at what we do.
